I seem to remember baldy Parker getting quite a few drop goals in a tight game which we won against Leigh (IIRC) around 2000 time.
Anyone throw some light on that one.
I thought he scored around 4 or 5. if not someone else scored some. We just kept shouting drop a goal and they did.
I await the experts.

Pete has checked his records, apparently Lee Senior got the 5th against Batley

Sorry I don't know but if I get a bit of spare time I will have a rumage through my old programmes and hope they list the scorers in the fixture list.

It appears that our victory against Gateshead in the league at the end of last season was the clubs 500th League Victory. We now stand at 501.

I have found the programme for the Dons next home game after the Batley victory.

Sunday May17th May 1998 v York although it lists the fixtures it doesn't list the scorers at each game.

But near the back of the programme it lists the players appearances and the points they scored as of May 16th John Edwards had made two appearances (1sub) and he had kicked four drop goals also Lee Senior had made five appearance he had scored 3 points including 1drop goal no other Dons players had kicked a drop goal in these first 5 games of the 1998 season so i think its safe to say Lee Senior kicked the fifth drop goal in the 33-20 defeat of Batley

That agrees with what my dad though too

So basically the only bit I got right was the year, which was the bit I wasn't sure about
