Joel Monaghan can level Brian Bevan's record of 50 tries in 46 games with a try against Salford this would be a great acheivement should he level or surpass this milestone
The Wire and Tranmere Rovers you can't go wrong

I'm not sure where this 'record' of Bevan's comes from. In his first season he scored 48 tries in 36 league matches. Overall he scored 740 tries in 620 matches for Warrington. That is more then 50 tries for EVERY 46 games he ever played and he kept it up for seventeen years.

In simple terms, an injury could have prevented him from scoring those next two tries for the next 10 games easily, thus giving him 50 tries in 46 games...

Surely the 50 tries in 46 games means 46 appearances though rather than 46 Warrington fixtures? The players certainly know about it anyway with the way Briers was trying to get Joel in right at the end.

Would have already levelled the record if it wasn't for that muppet thaler. Nothing wrong with the pass bridge gave him for the first of his disallowed tries on sunday. Was too far away to get a good look at the second one he chalked off for the same thing.

It was mentioned in the Warrington Guardian a couple of weeks ago ,something to do with ,like you say,50 tries in 46 games & they were hoping he would do it during the Leeds game but he didn't. The figures must have come from somewhere .

It was right in front of me. Bridge's pass was about 1,000,000 miles forward (give or take an inch).
It wasn't forward, end of. One day I'll prove it just you wait

Surely if it comes to a record of Brian Bevan's Joel should pass to someone else rather than take it himself. Look at the great dignity Mark Taylor showed when declaring on 334 not out so as not to surpass a record held by Don Bradman.
