Today I just followed the score on teletext and even that was painful enough.

Coach's comments are always either meaningless or, as today, comical. I don't know what he could say that we might regard as being constructive.

It would probably have to be one of:
"We just don't have a decent game plan. My fault."
or "We do have a good game plan, but players x, y, z aren't good enough or aren't putting the effort in."
or "I can't sort this mess out after trying for nearly two seasons. I quit."

I left 10 minutes before the end then got stuck in a massive traffic jam on the A1 at Grantham which was closed due an accident. Not sure what was worse - watching another tonking or sitting on my fat butt in the car which was virtually stationary for 90 minutes. Fek. The Hudds fans were in good humour though.

Bit of a soulless stadium, will the Giants ever fill it or even half fill it?

We were in the game until the last 20 minutes! stupid penalties given away then did not help, the
score line flatters the Giants, but then we have to remember they had gone four matches without
a win.

It is fine to roll out the same rhetoric week after week in the press conference, but then we are not
putting the matters we see and know are wrong right, that is down to one man, it is just like the
situation we went through with Mac, so it looks now highly likely it will be a long long season looking
for the next win sometime if Lady Luck chooses to shine on us! That will not bring in new fans, have
we just accepted that now and choose to write off the season!

It was a fast game and a real shame about Hudds scoring their 3rd try right on the halftime whistle & then us being held up over their line in the first 5 mins of the second half - if only it was the other way around. But why Golden came on in the 2nd half from the tunnel limping, only the be replaced 3 minutes later, was a mystery. Other than the last 20-25 mins we were certainly in the game until after the converted Gower try although I thought Hudds played more as individuals than a team in this game. Perhaps the turning point was when the two Broncos collided and spilt the ball (I couldn't see who they were - as it was down the other end of the field) but as jaybs says the scoreline flattered the home side but Hudds did capitalise on our mistakes late in the game when we had virtually given up. I had no qualms about leaving early much to the mirth of the friendly Hudds fans!!

Jaybs, I assume the "write off the season" was a question rather than a statement.

I cannot see that the Club can aford to write off a whole season insofar as sponsorship deals are not done in a few weeks during the off season but start now, so if the club is looking to improve it's financial base, they surely should act now?

I bumped into a few of the Broncos Boys at their heavy weights gym on Saturday and they look to be in good shape, so I don't think that fitness or a lack thereof is the problem... but we all know that don't we?!

Look at the England soccer team yesterday. The other team had the ball most of the game and England were chasing them for it when they wernt coughing the ball up needlessly. When we went into extra time we had gone completely. Same situation as Broncos this season.
