England have lost on penalties 7 times, with just 1 win (vs Spain '96), they kept saying last night - but I 'only' count 6: '90, '96, '98, '04, '06 and now '12. Which am I missing - are they counting a Confederations Cup or some such?

The best comment I have heard do far has to be this morning on BBC breakfast. The sports reporter with so sends of humour said that England were UNLUCKY to go out on penalties. I pretty much called her a stupid female dog and said that if that was the height of her knowledge then perhaps she should go back to the office and just make the coffees and let the men have a go (I am not actually sexist BTW but is was such a stupid comment that I couldn't let it pass). My wifes reaction was that she agreed and that some women really don't help their gender.

Yeh, you're definately not a sexist.
Good to know we have not only a sexist moderator, but one who also calls people 'stupid female dog' if their opinion is different to his.
Brilliant.
Massive irony alert at the 'no sense of humour' comment too.

Yes I'm a massive sexist that is why my wife stays at home and does the housework whilst I go out to work...........oh wait no that's wrong. And if anyone thinks England were anything but lucky not to be buried last night then I am going to question there sanity and if that person is a sports presenter then I am going to question their choice of profession.

Question it by all means, but doing so by making sexist remarks and insults really isn't the way to do it.
I'd have expected better from someone trusted as a moderator and representative of this site.
Just got a chicken and bacon sanger, as I left the shop the sandwich girl mouthed "call me" and made the shape of a telephone with her hand.
'Time has come to air the voice of reason, in a world gone mad, adrift on banal seas, for all who feel that lies have had their season and whose hearts cry out instead for honesty. For all the weary souls grown bored with dreaming, this thirst for beauty and for knowledge goes unslacked. For all who want to wake from what is dreaming to know what's real and what is real to embrace. For all who've watched with mounting horror, evil's rein upon this world grow ever clear, for all who've prayed in vain, emancipators, wielding swords of truth and laughing without fear...naaaaaaa'

Like I have said I am not a sexist at all. The only reason it got the reaction it did (In my own home no less) was that it was such a stupid thing to say that it required a stupid comment for a responce. Infact scratch that it was a idiotic statement to make. You trying to turn this into a moderation issue is pathetic even for you BTW.
