We play ok for a while gain a commanding lead build some confidence then implode against a 12 man pub team WTF???????
Hardaker looked very good at FB and Hall and Ward were real positives (why ward went off god knows).
Again our defence in our own 20 is very weak and losing the ball 3 times on tackle 1 in their 20 was very sloppy and unforced.
Is Delaney injured because i didn't see him 2nd half.
In patches we looked ok and scored some good tries against a poor Cas team and again i thought we missed a chance to give the likes of Keinhorst ,Chisolm and Singleton a run out.
We really do need to up our intensisty because that CC semi is gonna be very humiliating otherwise and we need to up it now not wait 3 weeks.

Agree with all mate.
Delaney from memory did come back on in second. I think from his discussion with bailey on the touch line he has a bit of a groin problem. Was wincing and pointing to the right upper leg groin area.

For me hardaker looks cracking at full back. Would still like to see him tested more in this position against better opponents.

The second cas try was poor. Thought it was poor by the ref to give them the ball don't understand that decision at all. But then our left side defence had mags and burrow defending next to each other which isn't brilliant.

Thought kylie had a good game in front row, and noticed when ward went off sinny slipped back to 13. Would be interested to see the stats ward appeared to get through some work

I'm guessing they're still wanting to ease Ward in, first it was introductions from the bench, now the next step of him starting the game but not having him out there for the full 80. I think he's available for the next 3 games London (A) Hull (H) and Wigan in the Cup before he goes off with the England Academy, will be interesting to see if he starts all of them games (especially the Wigan one).

I do like the look of lining up with
FB - Hardaker
RW - BJB
RC - Watkins
LC - Ablett
LW - Hall

Hardaker is looking good for full back and I agree that is how the back line should look. Ward shouldn't have been taken off, he is the crucial link between the half backs and the centres, it seems to breakdown when he is not there because our second rowers don't have the passing abilities. I saw Ward tweeted about making a major decision, could this be to miss the tour? With Ward and Hardaker in the middle and Watkins on the edges it gives us a lot better attacking ability.

Sinfield still looks a weakness at times and our defence is still awful, not sure when in the season Leeds will begin defence practice.

Well the Wigan game is on the 14th of July and the England Academy depart on the 19th so he'd be ok to play in that game. I don't know how long they're over there for and when they return though. If (and i know its a big if) Leeds can get to the final that takes place on the 25th of August. Even if he has returned by then he'll know he stands a much better chance of selection if he was to stay in Leeds.

Or he might just be facing a big decision about what to have for tea later.

Part of it may have been tiredness due to it being the third game in 8 days for a good part of the team.
It was still a bit disappointing in the last 15mins or so.

On the other hand I thought the first half and probably the first 55/60mins were a big improvement.

I was surprised Ward was subbed when he was but I watched the game with Dannyboy who said he (Ward) was blowing out of his arris before he was subbed.

Maybe the pace of 1st team had just caught up with him a little.
Every player in our squad could probably earn more money with another club. But they prefer to sacrifice a few extra quid in their back pocket to share special memories. And playing at a place like Old Trafford on a night like this makes it all worthwhile.

It is nice to see Ward being given his chance.....but it makes it all the more puzzling that Singleton (plus D.Smith) are not given a similar chance to freshen up the forwards :?

Re-Ward i thought we lost our shape when he went off but honestly couldn't say if he was blowing or not so maybe he needed a short rest just seemed a strange call to me at the time.
Whilst it's fair to point out the 3 games in 8 days it also highlights the lack of rotation within the squad and still doesn't hide how p!$h our defence has been imo.

Pull Sinny back to Losse forward and give Ward a chance
