Was working last night at CP and walked on the field mid-nightish to have a look .. but compare to the Cricket Ground which resembled Lake Windermere , our pitch was holding up pretty well..yep it was wet in places but certainly nothing worse than had ever taken place when RL was a winter sport ..(..for my money nothing official :-)) but it would have taken another Friday evening downpour and some at least to even contemplate calling off the game.....

Another poor day at the office. The first half an hour or so lacked all sorts for me. We can forgive mistakes and the fact we have a few injuries, but there was just a lack of heart and desire, or that's how it seemed to me. We got our act together after that and with help from the ref we managed to get some field position and put some points on the board.

In the second I felt we needed to score first and did. Another score would have made it very exciting, but we let them in and they did their best to close the shop then. We went back to one man rugby and seemed clueless in attack.

More debatable calls again from Ronnie but that's par the course with him. JD has much to work on and the mid season blip has arrived with gusto. We've conceded far too many points in the last 3 games and need to get back to those defensive structures. I thought nobody really stood out today. JD was poor, but there were many others equally so. March and Coleman missed far too many tackles and so did Olly which is surprising for him. Cherryholme needs to work on his post collision technique as he goes down far too easy for a big man.

Credit to Batley though. You can only play the team put in front of you and today it was a poor Cougars. We need to improve and fast. JD speaks about improvement, but at the moment it's not evident on the pitch. The players are clearly not carrying out the game plan/tactics - why is that?

Ronnie Laughton had his best game in a Keighley shirt.

Pretty much single handedly brought us back in to the game
