I'm actually looking forward to this one, I really don't think jd will have had to say too much to the players with regards to the Halifax game or especially the fev game, our boys pride will be hurting enough and I am hoping they will be eager to put in a performance that everyone will be proud of.

We have a team that is more than capable of beating the Bulldogs, it is not going to be an easy task.

Here we go then with the predictions, I say that scratching my head

Att; 1059
MOM; Gav Duffy
First cougar try; Gav Duffy
Score; 28-12 to cougars

SOME of the Cougars CAN 'Hold their heads high' - others need to ask themselves the question: 'What do we need to do?'

Not every player was to blame for a lack of effort last Thursday but some were.

Were our tactics correct?

Featherstone illustrated precisely what I've been saying for years: a rapid distribution of the ball to the three-quarters is required; 'Speed Kills' and it was never so eloquently applied last Thursday evening.

Yet again, three men in the tackle to slow-down the play-the-ball went unpunished and the ref was, yet again, 'old-manned' by the players.

JD knows, as do some players, that we need to play 'SMART' rugby and compete by applying the same tactics as the opposition.

GET SMART COUGARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You are correct. Putting 3 men in the tackle will slow the play the ball down and we were doing that, but of late we've started to go two up and have been weak in the subsequent wrestle allowing offloads. Featherstone were a prime of example of speed at the play the ball. At times we look a bit labored in that area and there seems little urgency. That's definitely one area to work on. Feav was by far our worst defensive performance of the year and let's just hope it's out the system now so to speak and we get back to the standards set early in the season. I'm looking forward to Killer's impending return as we seem to have more urgency when he's on the pitch.

I hope not it really wouldn't do us any good, I don't like all these breaks and feel we need to get back to winning ways and keep the momentum going.

Still on according to all RL sites unless someone knows something I don't? It would make sense to leave it as late as poss. I think we need this game on.
