It's finished at Sunderland. Manchester United have done all they can. That Rooney goal was good enough for the three points. Manchester City are still alive here. Balotelli.....AGUERO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Where did we get Steve Hesford from? One of the greatest to pull on a Wire shirt (in my opinion)

My hero when I was younger
"The Warrington people hadn't had success for a few years, but there's no speccy in the world as good. They are very knowledgeable and appreciative of hard work. What they like is honesty. They want the team to try; if they fail they fail, but they expect honesty. They know when players don't put it in."

I think it was Fylde RU, but no doubt someone will tell me otherwise.

Not far off, Wrath. It was Fleetwood RL. Remember too that his two brothers were sportsmen as well. Ian played in goal for Blackpool, whilst Bob was a Number Eight for Bath RU and England.

Les was good but had a reputation.

Actually sometimes went missing if he didn't fancy it !!

Played a match against Bramley I think and we lost away. He was always standing 3-4 yards behind the line at most plays.....

Bob Eccles.
One minute playing Sunday football for the Harrow Inn at Culcheth. Next being signed by Alex Murphy. The rest is history.
