I bet its something to do with buying tickets for the last few home games or next years season ticket at a reduced price so that they have the money to secure more players for next seasons squad. Good luck to them.

I'm really intrigued with this one I can't wait for this Can anyone define what is classed as arriving early in time for this announcement? I normally turn up about 40 minutes before KO to watch the lads warm up.

I think it will be the same announcement that will be on tonights website launch but I still don't know what it is.

I hate these come early and see games, although the Limo with Parky and the minders was a good one.

As nobody knows who I am, I will spoil the party in the interests of those wanting an extra pint. I have it from a good sauce that this is the BIG announcement:

The announcement is that the club has been bought by American John Walton, CEO of Wallmart, after a recent visit to one of Asda's top performing stores in the UK, Atherleigh Way Leigh.
John asked about the derelict land opposite and was informed of the history and struggles of LRLFC. He was taken to the new facility at LSV and has decided to reward the loyal folk of Leigh by investing in the local sporting club to the tune of £2m pa over 10 years.
This investment is obviously huge in RL terms but is small fry for a man with family wealth of $50Billion whose great, great grandad originated from Westleigh prior to emigrating to the USA in 1858 by working his passage.
The RFL will be present and our key to SL 2013 will be formally handed over before the game. ASDA will sponsor SL next year as well as Leigh and will be organising our GF and CC celebrations.


As I have stated my sauce is generally very reliable.
