The 67s run about every 15 minutes up until about 8 I think, then every half an hour, making it easy enough for anyone in Irlam or Cadishead to get to the stadium. Getting back is easy enough too with a bus usually coming just after the match has finished, then one after 10 - which gives plenty of time if people are getting the last train from Irlam, in either direction.

Whinge whinge whinge. All you ever hear is people moaning because the club don't do everything people want. I'll start whingeing because they don't do a bus from Walkden/ boothstown area. Which is much further away than bloody irlam!

Whilst I know you're joking, you have a point. I'm yet to break 50 minutes for my public transport journey time from Walkden. It only took me an hour from Hollingworth Lake to the Willows!

I know there's a fair sized contingent in the Walkden area who would surely benefit from a direct bus service. AND, I'd happily pay a couple of quid for it. Well, it beats the £4.50 for a daysaver that only gets me as far as Patricroft Bridge (It's quicker to walk from there than wait for the 67, before anyone suggests it).

Correct but Im presuming he must want a door to door service :?

I thought the shuttle service was there primarily to offer transport to fans who live close to the Willows and to try and take pressure off the roads around the motorway roundabout on Liverpool Road. As far as Im aware there are no congestion issues travelling from Irlam and Cadishead??

Right in one, other supporters have that option
Whispers from The Offing is a collection of songs by various artists paying homage to four decades of Kevin Coyne's music.

The club run services, that is correct. Are you suggesting the club runs its own transport network that takes in every town/village where supporters are based!!

This is a recurring theme every time we discuss the shuttle bus. In my opinion we dont need to spend money on a bus to Irlam/Cadishead. There is no significant congestion from that direction and we have a regular bus service (67). Im sure a few of you could club together a couple of pound each and invest in a taxi if you needed to. People managed to get to the Willows so whats the big issue now the stadiums on your door step?

The shuttle bus idea was brought forward to help out all those who had for years been able to walk to the Willows and watch Salford. I've driven to games for years , as have many others. Not at any time when the shuttle bus service was announced did I think " ooooo that's unfair why do they get special treatment? I want a shuttle bus service as well"
Yet for some reason the only people who seem to be moaning about it are those from Irlam/Cadishead. Despite the fact that they now live closer to the rugby than ever before and have a nice easy traffic jam free public service to get them there. They could also walk it should they wish.

Perhaps SJW should personally pick them all up prior to the game FFS!
