He's still a Wildcat as far as i know and would be tempted to give him a run after Cockayne and Mathers mistakes lately. He doesn't have the pace of these but the reliability factor he does have. The last time i saw him play first team was against Bulls last game of the season and he had a stormer. If some are tired it may be worth throwing him in.

you've got to be kidding? unless you're referring to cockayne's twitter feed where i understand he referred to mathers as a "jew boy" or something along those lines. cockayne looks dangerous almost everytime he gets the ball, although i think hardaker showed them both how to be cool under the high ball on monday.

Mathers has what looked like a hamstring worry and IJ was warming up with the squad on Monday evening.
I would assume that if Mathers were going to miss out IJ would have come in at 6 and Sykes gone to FB, however after what i have seen and did see, Tony at FB keeping Sykes at 6 would have been a better shout.
That said IJ may have worked on his game and sooner or later he is going to have to be given a shirt before his contract expires, maybe he has done enough to impress Agar already???

I would play Motu Tony the next game hes a former test fullback. Mathers been great for us.But the last 2 games not played well and hes no confidence. Tony everytime hes played for us done a good job. Mathers needs a week or 2 in 20's get his confidence back up.

Dropping Mathers out of the first team is going to help is confidence how?

Motu Tony was at last night 9's competition.
Continue to support the new stadium at Newmarket Lane.
You know it makes sense.

Graham Eadie was a test full back but I wouldn't want to play him now.
Motu Tony was good for a couple of games for us last year. I think he is too old to fit in this squad now.

I think it is great him playing with the younger guys and being back up but if Mathers was actually dropped I'd move Cockayne or Sykes before putting him in I think

Mathers doesn't need dropping - he had a moment of indecision and it cost us dear; that can and does happen to any fullback and they instantly go from hero to zero. It's a bit like being a goalie at times.

He should be back on Sunday and I expect he'll dig deep to make up for the error.

This is a poster who wanted Mathers as captain a month back - he also has a long history of scapegoating F/B's for the very reasons you give.
