ATEOTD, Fifa is good enough for me a to have a laugh whilst playing with a few mates, I don't go on to play and expect it to exactly reflect real football, it's just a game. I can play it and have fun, I can acknowledge there are some errors in the game but not so much that it makes it unplayable. If you really think it's so bad and get so frustrated by it I can't understand why you would continue to play it until you get red in the face. It's not as bad as some of you make out.
If they're anything like my mates it's because they lose It's always the case with sports games. I've been playing football games since Gary Lineker's on the Spectrum. It was like that whenever we had battles on Sensible Soccer, whoever lost declared the game terrible and stormed out in a huff, only to go and buy a Bug controller and turn up again the next day. Fifa online has the worst behaved fans ever. If they lose it's because the game is terrible or the classic "It won't let me win, I had 403 shots on goal and they had 1 and they won".
I'm in the 'don't like it' camp with Call of Duty, so just refuse to play it. Haven't bought one since Call of Duty 2 I don't think, when it used to be good

FIFA is good, but small gameplay hiccups spoil the experience. Last night we were all playing a tournament after work, I was winning 1-0 until the 80th minute in the final, I tackled the opposition player fair and square, simple tackle... Nope! Red Card instead and he scored from the freekick to take it to extra time (this is on the Xbox 360) Really ruined what had been a good game, I don't even get mad anymore, I'm just bored that there hasn't been a patch at least, will it be fixed in FIFA 13? Who knows...
I'm level 50 odd on my PS3 now (all online) so have played a lot of matches, but the more you play the game the more you spot the errors IMO. PES isn't by any means a better game, but at least with PES it's a different experience. If the simple errors were fixed on FIFA then I would be happy, but they aren't, which is annoying for me as the game could be much better.
What exactly is happening in that clip? It looks terrible? Is he doing anything to control that?
The guy at the start calling targets was the fleet commander (basically the guy whos in charge of hundreds of players) but he was calling wrong targets so a senior fleet commander (the finish guy who rages) takes over. In this game, battles are won and lost by tactics (of which there are literally thousands) metagaming (spys on comms/DDoSing comms) and by how good your fleet commander is. It takes years of playing eve to become a great fleet commander as there are so many variables/permatations in each fight. Here is a good fleet commander, hes only like 14 or something.
FIFA is without doubt the most frustrating game in the world. Mine's nearly just gone out the window after 3 games tonight, it's close to been put in a drawer til FIFA 13 comes out.
First game, playing as Holland I went 1 up, and then suddenly every touch was a right stick flick from me, with the stick not been touched, til he scored and it went back to normal.
The second was a complete idiot, I swear some people want to lose, he must have passed his goal kicks to my strikers 10 times, the first couple I just put out, but then he kept doing it, so I'd score, and it happened over and over.
Then, my last game, a hoof over the top, my centre back goes to head it back to my keeper, who starts to come out, the defender gets a tiny touch on it, and sells the keeper short, their players rounds him to score.
I play FIFA more than any other game, but things like that mean I don't enjoy it half as much as I should do.
EDIT. I've just won a game 2 1 with the last kick of the game. Bloody love FIFA me.

Anyone who thinks that FIFA is frustrating has obviosuly never played Rugby League Live online. Now there's a game with hilarious amounts of holes in the gameplay!

I've never played online but with RLL there are no expectations of the game so it doesn't matter that much. But I usually play 3 or 4 games with my mates and then it's put in a cupboard for 3 months in frustration!

I love it just because it's rugby and I play it all the time online with a mate. It really isn't a brilliantly made game by any stretch of the imagination, great fun though.

I enjoy it when it comes out, but the standard of the actual game is terrible.
It's really good fun until your kicker gets tackled on the last after taking an age to kick it or something equally as stupid.
I might go have a game now actually, try and get over today's result!
