Looks like Wigan have cooled their interest in the Tigers and GB half-back:-

I've also heard he has just bought a house in Cas Vegas so it looks like he could be staying with the Tigers after all.

Doh. I am saying that just because he has brought a property in Cas does not neccessarily mean he is staying with the club. I do, however, hope RC stays with Cas for a long time and we build a team around him.

Hear, hear to that! He could be tempted to stay if we can prove that some quality signings are coming into the squad for next year. Hope your right.

He has recently bought a house - moved in just before Tahi (his new son) was born

The main problem for any team trying to sign Chase is being willing to match (or even come close to) the current salary he is on at Cas. The club knew that they had to pay a premium for him to stay. Top clubs don't really need (or want) to spend such as massive chunk of the salary cap on one player as there is the attraction of actually winning something!
Chase is more important to Cas than he would be to any other club, and is paid accordingly. He wouldn't be worth the same salary at the likes of Wigan or Warrington.

Good point notttiger. The only way I could see him leaving would be if another club were prepared to offload one or more of their top earners. i.e Burrow at Leeds, Briers at Warrington and don't forget Wigan do have a load of salary cap space - they are loosing Finch, Lima and Luiluia.

doesnt only half of your salary count on the cap after youve been at a club so long(i.e 10+ years)????
