Cant help thinking that the the rhinos were there for the taking, yes you may well be playing well !, but as a team the rhinos are so poor at the moment, and despite 10 yes 10 players backing up from a game 48 hrs ago, you still couldnt win the game, to say you could have wrapped the game up by half time is a bit wide of the mark, the fact is you didnt we were very poor and even your performance still couldnt get the two points, so with all due respect you will not have a better chance of beating us in your cup final than tonite, so a reality check required for wakey getting well above there station.

oh and not forgetting the one eyed whistle blower who mist two blatent forward passes on a par with dobbos for your two final tries.otherwise you would have not been anywhere near on the scoreboard, have a great game against bradfut, you should win that one.

That'll be the one eyed whistle blower that gifted you your last eight points thanks to a penalty he gave you after Sykes disputed the ridiculous decision he made, then calling a forward pass to Fox that was at least 2 yards backwards which gave Leeds the scrum and from which Ablett scored.
Where were our penalties for dissent every time Sinfield did his usual cry baby act?

When you score a try, or kick a goal, or make that tackle, you dont do it for yourself, you do it for the team because the name on the front of the shirt is more important than the one on the back

Cockayne lets in more than he scores but is loved as he is a tryer. Should have scored a few more than he has this season and needs to work on the high ball. He is bound to be targeted

The game changed when we knocked on from the kick off straight after scoring. We didn't get out of our half for 20mins.

Thought the ref gave a few dubious calls for both sides, the one for mouthing been the obvious one against Wakey.

We gave Leeds far more than 18 pts

We did play some very good attacking rugby but it means naff all if you can't defend

Mathers had a mare tonight - looked like he didn't want to tackle his mates, bottled the collision on several occassions - awful performance other than one great tackle near line.

Walshaw and Trout nowhere near SL level yet - Trouts bombed try was shocking

Thats the worst performance by a Leeds side I have seen - there for the taking and we blew it big time

Nothing to get excited by re scoring 40 pts - we vexed away that game - unacceptable (:

Well out of order IMO.

Yes, Trout should have scored first up, but he came back and scored a beauty with a lovely angled, determined run.

Walshaw had his best game in the first team IMO - he didn't put a foot wrong all night and, when he realises what he CAN do, he'll be a superb asset to the club.

The 3 gifted tries in the first half are the culprits here:
1 - if you kick to pacey outside backs you must keep your line
2 - Smith went to kick for Cockayne as he could see the Ben was free on the outside. In restrospect, it may have been better to chip over - the try was on!
3 - The fumble from Mathers - the third significant fumble from him in 2 games - he really needs to cut this out of his game pronto, or he (and we) will have a long season worrying about it!

Big shame, but let's be right - Leeds' season was hanging by a thread and they were always going to be up for it, even if backing up.

Great entertainment and looking forward to revenge at BV! :ROCKS:

Defence was terrible at times, attack at times was sublime.
Switched off for first ten minutes and ten minutes in second half, and they racked up over half their points.
Overall i really enjoyed the game and the atmosphere, well done to all that could travel it was great to be amongst a very vocal wakey support and i think we were largely rewarded.
Bring on Bradford (another winnable game)!!!

YET is the key word.

Trout did very well to score TBF to the lad but the bombed effort near the line was a shocker.

I really like Walshaw. Out of all our youngsters I think he is the one who could cut it.

I stand by my comment I don't think they are SL quality yet. I think Walshaw will make it, not sure re Trout.

Good to see the lads getting a chance and look forward to seeing their continued development in the Red, White & Blue.
I don't care if we win, lose or draw as long as the team gives 100% every week and each player wears the shirt with pride.

Completely agree - the knock on was a real game changing moment just after we'd scored also (:

That said we are our own worst enemies - our shocking defence and poor ball retention is killing us week in week out.

I think that for me sums up what was/is so frustrating for me as a fan at the moment.

At times we play some superb RL, a pleasure to watch but then all that good work is undone by absolute school boy error rugby re tackling/defence and keeping hold of the ball.

Fundamentals errors we should not STILL be making (:

We are a lower half of SL team, and those sides are the ones that make more of the mistakes.
Based on what we spend and what Leeds do, i'd rather have more of our players than theirs based on yesterday.
I didn't think Walshaw or Trout stood out as not being SL standard last night, they both made mistakes, but held up well.
Every player on that field last night for both sides made mistakes, how else do you end up with a 44-40 (if sykes had chose to take the last kick possibly 44-42) scoreline?
I'm happy with our performance but equally dissapointed, i would have given anything for a win, but it was "as good as" for me.
Bring on the Bulls and work on the plus and minus points of last nights game, I'm backing us for a win, and a good one!!

Need to stop making silly errors they scored 3 trys through sloppy tackles Mathers had a brain fart and should have had that ball but hes been one of the better players this season.Even our player of the year so far Aiton knocked on from the kick off.Its not all roses but a work in progress and lets face it we are better now than we were 4 games back.Extra training in the areas we are lacking in at the moment appears the order of the day.
