Other agencies have clauses written into contracts with penalties for not meeting deadlines, particularly if the government are the ones wanting deadlines adhered to.
Doesnt seem to work the other way round.
Cannot say I am surprised based on my previous dealings with official bodies .
It is immoral really to have so many people in limbo.

Other than the typical delays that can occur within governmental departments, could there be anything coming out of any woodwork to cause the delay ?
My naive understanding of the deadline was that the decision would be public by the 19th June.

No. The Inquiry is complete and the decision will already have been made, its just the announcement that that has been delayed.

Tantastic makes a good point on the LDF being ratified by Council on 20th June. If the planning was approved on the 19th and then Council failed to ratify the LDF (highly unlikey) it would look a bit odd, planning granted on land that's still green belt.

I think we'll have our decision before the end of the week.

Sorry to have missed all the fun, but I've been out at work.

All I can say is to confirm what IA has already mentioned. I see this is as nothing more that them not seeing a deadline in the same way as we do and I remain 'confident but not complacent' that we will get the right result - when the SoS can be bothered!

Stay calm and carry on! :DAISY:

So frustrating when these government employees see this as no more than 'paper shuffling' that seem to have realised they get all the papers shuffled in time for the 19th and can ring up and say "Sorry we are going to be a bit late and cant tell you when it will be ready now, ta ta for now..." They are messing with people's life's!!! :(
I hope our super league future is safe in the glovebox :)

Think it has plenty to do with the councils ratification of the ldf plan on wednesday. If it hasn't been announced by friday thoough then i'll start fearing the worst.

They should but they obviously don't feel the need to.

Still why do something today when you can do it next week and sponge a bit more money and a few more free lunches.
Lets start a forum just for Wakey fans, we can all back slap each other and not have anyone to tell us any different, i want to be the club puppy and make myself look stupid time and time again.

We have waited this long whats a couple of days? Why did they delay it less than 24 hours before the due decision this messes with peoples head, don't agree with that. Common sense must surely prevail !!!
