I'd say the 2nd paragraph especially makes a lot of sense!

The benefits of the BP are clear and I can honestly say Widnes suffered a defeat or two without it I think we would have won comfortably but sides went for BP and then got momentum etc.

Though I have mentioned before thus was brought in to be looked at for SL as well yet I don't think this issue has ever been officially addressed?

I agree certainly for SL, but it might have a place in semi-pro or amateur
leagues. Does anyone know if any amateur leagues use a bonus point system? As it may have some validity there

Our leagues used to run as:
1 point for turning up
2 for playing a draw
3 for a win
BP for a full squad of 13.

This did very well at discouraging clubs from forfeiting games. Not sure why we stopped that format, but it's lose/draw/win = 0/1/2 points again now.

Ok, so the Pennine League 3rd Division has the same problems and should be run exactly the same as Super League or the Championship?

As far as the rules of the game and the scoring system , YES

Changing it back to win-lose-draw would be typical of the way the RFL try to treat Super League and the Championships the same. LittleRich hates that.
Best back row in the game?

Depends what you're looking for.

Burgess, Ellis and Thaiday for strenth and being a nother prop.

If you want the whole package then Lockers is the best right now.

Bonus for a clean sheet, might promote better defence coaching.

I like this, possibly a bonus point for 50+ points as well?

Maybe that's why Widnes are getting so many hammerings. They can't get a bonus point so after the opposition have scored the first few points they decide not to bother any more.

We already reward mediocraty by allowing teams that finish outside the top six into the play-offs.
I wish everyone would read bramleyrhino's post two or three times just to get it through some thick skulls

Mr bramleyrhino speaks a lot of sense.

This actually has a lot of merit in my opinion!! A defensive bonus point rather than an attacking one would hopefully improve our game.

3pts a win
2pts a draw
1pt conceding 2 tries or less
