It was not about tbh more a general think that had crept in.
I think it's a fair question though. When considering how much credence to give a certain rumour, a little knowledge as to the source of the rumour goes a long way - even if the source isn't explicitly stated. For example, if (as in this case) the rumour has appeared in a newspaper, you could quite easily think it's more likely to be true than if it had been overheard in a pub.

Maybe so, certainly the paper thing makes sense I see that example. Personally if I hear something which I believe has some substance then I would post it but certainly wouldn't say who told me no matter who asked me. It's not really anyone else's business tbh, they can choose to believe or not. 99% of rumours on here never come to light anyway.
Well lets get away from the mod bashing and go back to rumours and heres a cracker.... Paul Cooke recons Danny Brough is nailed on for FC and thats from the horses mouth last night!!!! but big money AND were also looking at Stuart Fielden on a 1 year deal

signing Danny Brough would be awesome. I've said this before but I would sign him over Rangi Chase because of his kicking game
i think we still need a specialist FB having seen the difference it made having McKinnon at the beginning of the season. I'm undecided on Horne but my big worry is if he could stay fit and free of injury

I'm not saying you should say who it is, just that it's quite legitimate for someone to ask the nature of your source. You could say, for example, that you know someone within the club, without saying Peter Gentle (or whoever) told you x, y, or z.
