even if jones wasn't a player at super league level you get the feeling he would be putting in the same effort at the amature game, his charisma stands out a mile compared to others sterile interviews

who else would people like to see interviewed?

Have we had Sean Long yet?
The Bible tells us that MALE homosexuality is “detestable” (God doesn't seem to have any problems with lesbians - go figure!)

Leviticus 18
22 Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable

But then it does seem that God also has a problem with squid, prawns, crabs, in fact all crustaceans and molluscs. Guess he’d never had decent paella.

Leviticus 11
9 These shall ye eat of all that are in the waters: whatsoever hath fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the rivers, them shall ye eat

10 And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the waters, they shall be an abomination unto you

So if you ever see a Christian eating a prawn vol-au-vent, according to their rule book you must point at them and in a loud voice say “you heathen, you are an abomination”.

Genuine question, why do/did you loath him?

He has always been a player that has that niggling factor against teams, you cant let him fart, often overlooked at other teams cost and good tackler, wish we had him in the squad. nothing personal towards him. and this is a genuine answer

As a member of all the 21st century winning sdes jjb is a legend but part of the enigma that the whole has been greater than the parts.

Would he get in any all time sides, even from the title sides lauititi, ellis and furner would be ahead of him, but what a ball of energy and commitment.

I think his workrate actually causes a lot of people to overlook his quality. He's got good hands, a decent offload game and hits a gap well. I actually think he stands up quite well against the players you mention. It just also happens that he's a tackling machine. If it was an all time side that was actually going to play (unlikely I know) rather than just be hypothetical, he'd definitely be in it IMO.

I've always felt that one of JJB's outsatnding attributes is his chase to follow up kicks.
How often is he first on the scene or at least on hand to make the first tackle following a kick?
My prediction for 2013
1 Wolves 2 Saints 3 Rhinos 4 Hull 5 Wigan 6 Dragons 7 Giants 8 Hull 8 KR 9 Bulls 10 Wakey 11 Broncos 12 Widnes 13 Cas 14 Salford

He has so many great attributes its hard to single any out, but he's pretty much good the full package for a modern second row

Since my first Leeds game probably around 94' season, or the earliest memory I can remember going to regular games Ive had numerous favourite players, Sterling, Barrie Mac, etc, but for a fair few years now JJB has been far and away my favourite player!

His workrate, defensive efforts and explosive attacking runs are what you want in a second rower. Small, but strong and mobile. Bit of a liability on the old backchatting though!

However, a little tip, If you ever have a bet on first try scorer when hes playing you cant go far wrong sticking money on JJB.

Theres usually about 8 of us who have a quid 1st scorer at the games and I religiously take JJB who more often than not comes through.

Couple of tales, Cant remember who we were playing away last season but me and a few mates went to the pub to watch it. Long story short, we had a quid 1st Leeds try scorer and nobody scored until about 70 min. JJB! Fair to say the lads threw their money at me!

Second one, t'other week at home. Not the first try scorer this time but still, I went with JJB again and as none of the Leeds players we chose had scored yet it just carries on until one of them does. JJB went off injured and came back on in 2nd half. Just as I turned round to my mate to say JJBs back on he got the ball and scored!! haha, pound coins flying at my head again!

Gotta love JJB!
