Even though it was that convincing I felt it was a scrappy win. Don't know why. Thought Gardner was MOM for me. Ostich was good again today. Watching him in the warm up he was doing a lot of talking in the huddle. Bulldogs 12 was in good form for them and wouldn't mind him at Leigh. Dogs 6 & 7 made several breaks that we should be plugging now. Matt is spot on about their attacking and their tries apart from the dart from the play the ball. We seemed to take a few knocks today and Gardner looked like he had just come out of the hexagon. When will learn to play the rules atthe ruck. They laid on playing the game and we clear the ruck then impead with hands in. Said to John Kear at half time that the game was a damn site more entertaining than the game yesterday and he laughed and said " yes this is a proper game". Last try was the icing on the cake and hope Duffs is back for the semi as we missed another cool head out there today. Passing practice for Bob too this week. Oh one more thing. Stu Littler is a machine.

NOT a sin binning offence, you can try and remove a players head, you will not get 10 minutes. First 'sin binning' I've seen for ages. There is a lot of 'mucking about' in the tackle/play the ball area, very rarely do you get a sin binning....glad it happened though !

Well as most know on this Forum i very rarely have a go at the Ref , but todays ref was appalling , no doubt, i counted 4 times the Leigh players had to point out the Rules to him especially highlighted in Blacks sin-binning , for me the Bullfrogs are a terrible team to play against ,slowing the game down , foul play , time -wasting , niggling at the play the ball , id hate to have to watch them every week , but justice was done and deservedly Leigh won through , congrats to PR and the Lads bring on Cushy , Sidnee, and Roth Fev Fan , along with the Flat Cappers on Friday should be a great game ,good practice for the NRC Semi ,we need to get to Blackpool .

Deffo correct decision Barty ,im not a Ben Black fan either to much of a spoiler for me i agree Gardner had a good game .
I must take my binocular's to the next game ! How many times do you see a player 'lose' the ball in the tackle ? It's either a 'scrum' or a penalty to the attacking side. So is it OK to question a decision, that went in our favour.

as a neutral from wakey there to watch matty wildie i have to say i really enjoyed the game although the final score was no way a reflection of the game. i thought Leigh just edged it but there were some real game changing decisions made by the referee that kear was very critical of on the radio on the way home. Black sin bin I guess could have gone either way, but when potts broke clear in the second half that professional foul by the Leigh player was far more clear cut and no sin bin. Also was behind the sticks when Brown caught the ball clearly in goal and again a poor decision of drop out again brought points to Leigh. Thought Mcnally was up there for MOM, but when they said Brierley everyone around me looked as puzzled as I did...Also the batley Centre (walton I think) was tough today and he bashed up gardner all afternoon who looked like he had been in the wars when he left the field. I think Batley were without two of their monster forwards and that was the difference in the end and the forward battle was won by Leigh, and batley halfs did not have the platform to cause problems in the Leigh half. not sure why Batley went with three hookers on the bench and only one prop and Lindsey not selected at all but this game could have gone either way and was very enjoyable and leigh deserved the win.
1) when brown 'caught the ball' behind the try line, in goal judge pointed to the 25 metre line for a Batley tap, ref overuled him. 2) Ben Black 'sin binning' agree also, could have gone either way. 3) McNally MOM deffo, Ryan Brierley had a quiet game. 4) Don't recall the professional foul on Potts, or any Batley player for that matter. 5) Matt Gardner might have been 'battered' once by a head shot, but it did not stop him being far more effective than the Batley centre's, it's fair enough to 'bash' someone, but it did not affect Matt Gardner's game, he was as RAMPANT as ever.....unlike Danny Maun ! 6) Which 'monsters' were Batley missing ? Having said that, we only 'got the upper hand' when Parker/Ostick were on the field, not Spenser/Gallagher.

Quinny I agree about Gardner and the lad you talk off is big enough to be a prop. I would like someone to come on here and tell us the rule about diffusing the high kick in goal because I thought that if you were in goal when it was kicked you were fine and it was a tap 20. Brown ran into the in goal area after the kick for me. I also think the your man Brown had a fantastic game and never gave up.
