Have the series at a different time of the year.

Off the top of my head...

Lancs

Tomkins
Charnley Goulding Wheeler Makinson
Brown/Sinfield Lomax
Prescott Roby Morley
Hock Tickle
Lockers

v

Yorks

Eden
Hall Watkins Atkins Briscoe
McGuire Brough/Burrow
Peacock McM Carvell
Westwood JJB
Westerman

Sooner see this developed, get a bit of biff...

So would most people. There must be a reason that these Origin series don't exist though...

I have no idea, now we could have two competitive sides.

I agree with the general sentiment. However l would actuially prefer East v West to include all of England and use it as a real trial game for England so it would have meaning for the players and intensity.

I posted a few days ago that the Exiles concept is doomed to failure, for a wide variety of reasons and would be finished within 3 years. Based on what I have seen tonight it shouldnt even last that long. An awful game with no skill or intensity between 2 fairly mediocre teams that any top SL team would annihilate. Wigan have beaten better teams than those by over 40 points this year. McNamara or the RFL can dress it up all they like but that was dire tonight.

Not a bad idea. I could imagine that being an attractive prospect.

There's already one thread to discuss the merits or otherwise of the game tonight we don't need another. Same as we didn't need three different threads to discuss Tommy's injury.
