None of them would hold a candle to Turley in my opinion. Fantastic support player, scored for fun, not a bad kicker either. Couldn't give too hoots whether he could tackle or catch or not.

Turleys back on Sunday along with plenty other recent Leigh Heros as part of the new past players association launch.
Should get the crowd in a positive mood before the game as they are providing a 'guard of honour' for when the teams come out 8)

Well here is my 4penneth.

Donlan and Turley have retired.

Greg is brill and to show ambition our club must get him for the future.

The post about him going to Haven or Barrow is guess work imo.

Oh' and just to go back to my original post 'and to annoy the Carolis'. Imo Gregg at 7 would be a great move and although Pownall has been great as a winger I feel he would be even better at fullback.

I agree !!

Dave was the star player in a 24-0 win at HKR - the time we had about 12 sponsored fans coaches. He played stand off that day and IRC it was for the first time and he had a cracker but never got picked there again.

Not a bad try scoring ratio as well.
How is education supposed to make me feel smarter? Besides, every time I learn something new, it pushes some old stuff out of my brain. Remember when I took that home winemaking course, and I forgot how to drive?

Ingy spent much of his early Leigh career as a stand-off but made his debut at centre. He was switched to wing by Eric Hughes in 1996 and played far more of his rugby there. He was a very promising coach as well and was working wonders first with Mark Bailey and then on his own with a young squad.
Looking forward to next season already!

Ingy used to be my favourite player, great step and pass. Should have played at 6 more.

Think he's in the top 5 tryscorers for Leigh

On GMAC, best Full Back since Turley, and a top bloke too.
