I think that Peterson will take over the role Scott Murrell has within the squad this year!
I like Scott Murrell but i think that it is pretty much nailed on that Dave Peterson will take over his role next season. Has played 6 and 13 for Workington this season and also had short spells at 9 whilst playing for our 20s last season. Sandercock really rates him.

He might be, it depends how reliable the original information is, like any rumour they all need a sucker like Easty to pass them on.
Thanks

he's been a great servant has scotty but he's as good as he's ever going to be and has slipped down the pecking order to become a squad player. Peterson on the other hand is a young lad with a lot of potential, it'll be a shame to see scotty go but sometimes you've just got to take a chance on a player to improve overall.

Now were half way through the season and had a look at pretty much all the squad, who out of the OOC players would you keep or let go.
Scott Wheeldon - signed for Broncos Shannon McDonnell -KEEP offered an improved 2 yr deal Louis Sherrife, KEEP Nick Johnson, GO Craig Hall, KEEP 2 yr deal tba Jake Webster, GO Cas bound Chris Heil, KEEP Rhys Lovegrove KEEP offered a 2yr deal Joel Clinton,KEEP leaving, replaced by Lopini Paea? Ben Galea, KEEP one yr deal hopefully Jordan Cox KEEP Aaron Ollet, KEEP Liam Watts, leaving Scott Murrell, KEEP offered a one year deal Dave Peterson keep but no contract talks at the mo Jason Netherton- Go
The 'Red' notation is the current situation as far as I am aware
I thought Jason Netherton had another year on his deal? The club won't let him leave now anyway, not after his best ever game in a Rovers shirt, he even broke a tackle against Hudds.

Early on in the season when we were missing Green, Galea etc, Scott was our best player, and I can't remember him missing a game this year. Sandy doesn't seem to hang about if he doesn't think someones face fits, as in Scott Wheldon, I would be surprised if Murrell was let go.
