Wasn't jamie ellis voted best player in the championship less than 1 year ago? How come gentle has failed to enable ellis to realise his potential ?

Bit of a difference between championship and Super League though, wouldnt you agree?

I'm not sure writing him off so comprehensively when he's only 21 and has significant untapped potential is very mature.

Alas, Easty's Achilles heel.

So, best pub player in a league of part timers. Not proven quality at SL level, then? Watts was voted Rovers young POTY too. Sandercock possesses magical powers in transforming young players according to your learned friends. Strange that he can't handle the one in your squad with the most widely-acknowledged potential, isn't it? Crushingly disappointing for a board talking of building a squad of young British talent, must be.

We don't think CS has magical powers.

The Watts situation has been a bit disappointing. Looks like it will be behind us shortly. It'll be a bit galling if he rediscovers his form with you, but that is up to him and I don't wish him ill. He's a risk, but it's hard to progress always playing safe.
