On the subject of Bateman, has it been mentioned anywhere (sorry if it has and I have missed it) that he is captaining the England Academy against France tonight at Odsal.

Not the best scheduling in reality, there may be something on TV that people want to watch...
I'll be the first to admit this is a bright but haunted age.

Might not be on..awaiting on pitch inspection..england v france women on first but pitch might not hold 2 games..so priority is academy on and women game moved to alternate venue...2nd option both games moved venue..third option games cancelled.

be lucky if you get 6 figures now, vultures will wait and pick over the bones

When Cas got relegated the vultures preyed on Lynch, Platt, Hudson & Godwin. The difference being Cas got nowt. Clubs playing on sentiment don't get far.

Cas did get something for Platt as we had to pay a fee.

The fact Cas lost Lynch, Hudson etc showed up one of the the biggest problems with P & R and it is little wonder that teams in threat of relgation used to fill their teams with kolpak stiffs rather than give young players a chance knowing full well should they get relegated they would lose those same youngsters for nothing.

IF he has then it will be to save club from admin. No benefit to club selling him then handing money over to administrators.
