£350k for a player that could be with us for 5-6 years is not that bad. He could be the new Tommy.

Could be a good deal. Let's wait & see.

I'd be happy with Smith & Chase as our halves next year.

Behind a monster pack of Hock. Mossop, Lockers, Hansen, Dudson, Flower, Luakie and who ever else we sign.

Chase is definitely the best 6 we can realistically get to replace Finch. None of the halves in the 20's look capable of stepping up in the next year or two (we'll wait and see on Powell when he regains his fitness, and George Williams looks special but is only 17) so why not get Chase? I think he'd fit into our offensive systems very well. Giving him more runners to work with would only make him more dangerous, and the accusation that he's a one-trick-pony is pretty much wiped out by looking at his number of try assists in the last 18 months. He can put people through gaps or go through gaps himself, which is basically what Finchy has done well this season

I would be astounded if we actually paid a £100,000 fee for Chase
imo he's a one trick pony and an expensive one too
IF we cant sign a decent 6 for next season i would rather have Lockers at 6 rather than Chase

Chase's running game would compliment Smith's game. Brough is a similar style of player to Smith but with the best kicking game in the league. Our kicking game has been inconsistent over the past few years so that's something that needs to be considered. Overall though, I'd say Chase is the better option, just for the space he'd create for the wide men and Sam.

Rangi Chase is overrated in my opinion and there numerous other players that would be better suited at 6 for Wigan.

Fine, looks like fat talk to me. lets see who they are, but remember it can't be just a list of the worlds best, it must be those who we would at least have a outside chance of signing! show us the list please..
