McNally is far better than Stu was the past few years. We never saw the best of Stu, that was after leaving us and before coming back. I have a feeling he may be back in Cumbria with either Barrow or Haven next season, although he is good enough for SL imho. Hope we retain him though.
I believe he's based in Huddersfield so I'm not sure he'll be joining a Cumbrian team any time soon.
Donlan put in some great performances over his last couple of years, but McNally offers so much more ball in hand IMHO.

Agreed he offers more with ball in hand but that does not make him a better fullback, he has been a bit dodgy under the high ball on more than one occasion this year and Like mort before him from opposing teams kicks he often has to move a long way to take ball as positional play lets him down but only young and not always been a full back great potential but I still feel pownall will be the better long term full back but that's just my opinion.

I can see what you're saying but having a ball-handling full back can be a big weapon and as much as I like Pownall, his skills aren't really suited towards that. Yes McNally has spilled a couple of high kicks, but he's also made a couple of terrific cover tackles when left as the last man and, as you say, he's got plenty of time to learn his trade.

Totally disagree. Great positional play with the exception of Leeds, and when Sinfield has time he is a great kicker. Much better than Donlan at his career end spell. I also feel Pownall will be a great FB too - the riches we posess.
None of them would hold a candle to Turley in my opinion. Fantastic support player, scored for fun, not a bad kicker either. Couldn't give too hoots whether he could tackle or catch or not.

Totally agree N Turley was awesome the full package his scoring record in RL was one of the best ever...but he,s long gone and young Greg has been outstanding this season he,s a exciting player and can score try,s out of nothing I would try and sign him up for at least 2 hrs the best is yet to come from the Mac

I think I'd give him a tad longer contract than just under a game and a half Iain
Turley, Donlan both great players but alas both gone, Pownall will be a class full back but he's doing OK on the wing learning his trade, McNally is the player of the moment and deserves a new contract all my own opinion of course.

Greg is brill and to show ambition our club must get him for the future.
The post about him going to Haven or Barrow is guess work imo.
Oh' and just to go back to my original post 'and to annoy the Carolis'. Imo Gregg at 7 would be a great move and although Pownall has been great as a winger I feel he would be even better at fullback.
