Yeah they used to get big crowds, but I remember being at a fans forum at Craven Park several years ago when they in their prime, and one of the panel saying Colin Hutton had been speaking to their CEO or chairman at a RFL meeting and being told the average price paid on the gate was something like £6 per head due to all the freebies etc they gave out. Similar thing now with the discounted passes they've sold. I realise you have to attreact new fans to the ground but there comes a point were it becomes financial suicide.
As much as it's nice to see this sort of thing happen to any team, I would hazard a guess they'll get more help from the RFL than we ever did in thre same situation.
