What an odd post. The physical demands of the modern game are such that almost every team rotates their hookers. If we are unable to do that, of course fatigue will become a factor at some stage. However much Houghton is paid.
wasn't talking specifically about Houghton, just players in general.
The same applies. Forwards in general are usually spelled. If they can't be spelled for whatever reason, they will be more fatigued than those who have been.
When you make 692 tackles and you only miss 22 I think it is safe to say if your not the best your certainly up there with the best, he certainly outshines McCllorum in this area and Houghton makes more metres than McCllorum and has nearly double try assists to McCllorum
I like houghton and he has lots of good parts to his game, but his passing out of acting half is poor in terms of speed and accuracy. I've said it before but the fact we haven't properly replaced swain has affected us as much, if not more, than not effectively replacing cook

I agree if there is an area Houghton could improve it would be his pass which needs more consistency, if he did this I believe he has the potential to be a top draw hooker.

Again your looking at the stats without actually reading into them.
Would expect more from someone with your coaching experince
 Your clearly watching a different game to me, he really does not get run over constantly in defense...He is actually the best defender in SL with the highest tackle count and I would argue this area is one of his strengths, he makes good meters and barring the last few games where he has favored the inside pass (which I believe he is following game plan) his passing is fine.
I clearly am, if you believe is passing game is fine and he's the best defender in SL. Like I say t's all about opinions and regardless of the stats you've quoted between him & McCllorum, I would have McCllorum in a heart beat over Houghton.

McCllorum is way ahead of Houghton imo. He dominates the tackle much more and engages defences much better in attack. Houghton is behind him and Roby right now.
