Jesus wept...I know not many will read it, but at least mention the local team and the fact that they're playing a home against Widnes. :DEPRESSED:

was watching an nfl doco. on one of their teams and they used the term bomb to describe those long high passes from quaterback to running back and i think gibson took that idea, realized you cant throw the ball forward in RL and adapted it to a "bomb" kick we have

Is this an article by Martin Offiah?

So he can say what he like? Then did.

Yeah he mentions that in his column today and praises the Broncos fighting spirit.

He also says that he fears our young talent will get attention from other clubs and will go if things don't turn around soon (he says that is not what he wants...the cynical side of me thought, not what he wants unless he is getting a fee!).

Anyway, Gutters can calm down now as there was also a match report too.

Purdo - Determined, loveable with a "can-do" attitude. A born leader.
Louie - Big, white and fluffy. A very noisy prop forward.
Harley- Cute and gorgeous (just like our no.9) Well, I couldn't call her Chad, could I?
Update on Quins Mogs :-
Purdo - deffo leader amongst Mogs. The Capo.
Louie - turned out to be more like Louie Spence than LMS. Re-named Judas.
Harley - Cute but not as gorgeous as our no.9.
Oh well, at least I haven't got a Willy.

Dan, agree fully with what Martin has to say in his Evening Standard article & good to have the match report. A problem as a club we have with the situation we are currently in is people can be tempted to find fault all the time, simply for the sake of it.

We have to be wary that players will move on if we do not show as a club that matters are going to be corrected if we are seriously going to compete in Super League, more important & retain our licence. Not a big fan of Martin, if there is money in it for him then he would not mind players moving North.

That's right jaybs.

Interesting his suggestion of Ellery Hanley. I was only wondering what he is up to lately.

Re Broncos young talent, I think we are all aware that it is likely that the best of them will sign for a bigger club (if they haven't already done so). Unfortunately, we have very little to offer them other than living in one of the best cities in the world.

BTW, I heard some time ago from a v good source that two of our Londoners had already turned down contracts with other clubs because they wanted to be here. Whether they still do, I don't know. Hope so.

Offiah will speak very highly of the youngsters - he is probably their manager thereforfe the more he praises them the bigger the fee when he negotiates new contracts with bigger clubs. He has allegedley done it before and will do it again.

Not a crime at all, you have to make an honest buck where you can just dont wrap it up as caring about London. We produce the young players - he signs them and moves them on to bigger clubs, that's life I know but like I say I can't accept he cares.
