You should have picked Wigan.

It was regarding last years play offs and was a fond memory from last october.

Not sure how much point there was singing it this season though!!!

Nice one Andy. You articulated a differing opinion given reasons and substance.

There's really no place for the likes of you on Substandard.

I was watching on telly and I though they were singing that you should have chosen Wigan (ie last year's playoffs club call).

It was a very bit of light relief in a depressing 30 mins in the 1st half.
Every player in our squad could probably earn more money with another club. But they prefer to sacrifice a few extra quid in their back pocket to share special memories. And playing at a place like Old Trafford on a night like this makes it all worthwhile.

We take our pleasures where we can at the moment, Andy.

I wonder what will happen when someone breaks the mold and doesn't pick the lower placed team?

Tony Smith did not have the guts to pick Wigan, who was not in form at the semis and just come off a Saints defeat.

Well I called it on the day the draw was made, and was proven right. As you well know.

The "this could be your year" chant was more appropriate.

The whole Clubcall thing's a farce, although IIRC the clubs have all agreed to try to take it seriously or something this time round.
