Not really sure how we came to to discuss everton football club, but since we are comparing - Everton fans are very loyal and back managers, will the Rovers majority see the bigger picture and realize this is a 2-3 year plan at least or after a couple of defeats will it be a case of asking for Sandercocks head again wanting a quick fix?

Can we just stop this Everton comparison right now? Look at the facts, Everton have neighbours who they hardly ever beat, and who win trophies by the bucket load.

End of comparison.

Won trophies by the bucket load 30 years ago, so maybe there more like us lol.
When I compared us to Everton, I meant well never consistently finish up near the top like Everton don't, there always in the group of teams just under them, that's there place in the prem as IMO its ours in S/L.

Liverpools success, as in the past tense, they have hardly set the world on fire for many years now and according to the article below Everton are actualy rated the 4th most succesful side in English football, they were certainly a very good side during the sixties and seventies as i remember them.

Thread drift to dirty blue nose scousers .... eeeek

The only thing in common we have with Everton is, we both offer the worst value for money away ends in our respected divisions.

After 2 spawny wins the man is now heralded as the next wayne bennett in east hull. Of course, if Hull and wire hadn't put their respective cues on the rack at the right time for rovers then he'd be a useless aussie whinger who should be on the next plane home.

The truth probably lies somewhere in the middle

There's something in what you say certainly fans are very fickle.

But I have said from day 1 that Sandercock is a great appointment for Rovers and I have never wavered from that view.

He works so incredibly hard people at the club actually tell him to ease off. He is a 100% hands on coach and all of the players are getting individual guidance like never before.

Even Dobson has improved under Sandercock - he has been asked to take on the line a little more and his 2 tries last night were evidence of the value of that.

The one disappointing area has been the struggles we have had on defence. Loads of work has been put into this but it seemed we might have to wait for next season for it to pay off. But on the evidence of the last 2 games we are getting there now. BTW there was absolutely nothing spawny about Rovers win over Warrington we were by far the better side on the day.

With the increasing emphasis on youth Sandercock is even more important to Rovers. I hope and expect he will be with us for far longer than his original 2 year deal.
I couldn't hear the robin sing if not for you.

The only downside to Sandercock is he was foolish enough to get caught by the Sky cameras getting far too over excited after Craig Hall got high tackled lol, looked like he was gurning :)
