Totally agree Robbo. 3 of our bench today can play in the second row yet we seem only to use them to spell the props and LF.

This is PG's decision but it just isn't working.

Today we had Ben Crooks who could take over the kicking duties during Danny Tickle's respite.

We had Whiting, O'Carroll, aspinwall and Pitts on the bench but Manu and Tickle both did 80 minutes again. Makes no sense to me.

It's very frustrating to see them both do 80 while two 2nd rowers rotate with Westerman. I'd love to know why.

Been saying it all season. Has to be a link between that and our late capitulations

I know we don't tend to loan each other players but we've got young Keil Carlisle struggling for game time. The way Withers and Hodgson are playing he won't get close to a start. Deffo worth a look with a view to signing for the remainder of the season.

Playing far too many minutes and making errors due to fatigue. I'm not saying its the only reason for our capitulation of late, but it must be a big contributing factor.
Tickle was missing tackles, Lynch with lazy high shots and Manu looked injured. Houghton is being ran into the ground and is completely ineffectual at the moment.
I know that the Heremaia injury isn't helping the Houghton situation but McShane has just gone to Widnes on loan, why not make that deal?

It's the one area where Gentle could be questioned. Maybe his arm is being forced due to injuries but its telling late in games and will tell even more later in the season.

I agree that we're flogging Tickle, Houghton and Manu in games, but with frozen pitch / early CC exit, we've had more weeks off than any other team. We shouldn't have players fatigued after 17 games.
What I have also noticed is that Ellis, O'Carroll and O'Meley have all looked to be carrying excess weight - I can't remember saying that about 3 of our players for many years. Something going wrong for that to happen to professional athletes IMO.

Well I reckon Houghton will now get a nice rest, as I watched him limp off the pitch at the end of the game with a pack round the bottom of his right leg. Westerman needs some serious tackle practice as he gives away far 2 many penalties.

I think that's just O'Carroll's body shape, I don't think he's particularly unfit.

Manu especially is struggling with the minute's he's playing. I think we should start Whiting on the left at second row, with Pitts or Aspy at loose man, and then bring Willie on after 20 minutes to get at defences when they're tiring.
