What about Tony Smith at Hudds-Did he coach them to a couple of years as cellar dwellars?

nope, he was in charge when we got relegated in 2001 and although we had a good run under him still went down, the next season we went the whole year unbeaten winning the NFP minor premiership, National cup and NFP grand final - we finished in a respectable position in our 1st year back in SL before Leeds poached him!.

remember him when we played you in the cup in 2005 saying that all we did was attack down the left and he has plans in place to stop this...we attacked down the right and beat you.He also said that when the last 4 was drawn,we had to draw toulouse? to get to the final and we had no chance...we stuffed Sts and then beat Leeds at Cardiff.

we couldnt defend an under 9's team that season but we should of beaten you at hilton park though had that last minute drop goal stood which it should of done because the ball was still in play when the hooter went :SHOOT:

Matt Parish's stats don't lie. Granted he was only in charge of Salford for 6 games, but winning only one of them gives him a win percentage of 16.6%. He's got to go down as statistacally one of the worst coaches to grace Super League.

John Harvey at Salford.

Bradford 96 - 16 Salford. The only stat you need! Wiki has his coaching career at Salford as 58 games, 16 wins, 1 draw and 41 defeats. Ahh the memories!

Just looked it up - you won 7 out of 28, the losses including a 2-72 against Saints, and missed relegation by 3 points. The season sticks in my mind for our 30-18 beating of you in an 'on the road' game in Carcasonne where it was so hot that the ref (Russell Smith, if I remember aright) agreed to the game being played in 20 minute quarters to give the players a break.

Most of those wins will have come after Paul Cullen took charge towards the end of the season and all. Remember listening to that game on the radio, think Nathan Wood and Ben Westwood made their debuts that day if I'm not wrong. Happy days.
