I'm only listening to it, that's bad enough.
That says it all ,"You were listening ", i was there , ive watched the replay on Premier Sports ,and i thought Stokes gave us everything in the first half , other than the Seagulls first try , which was an obvious no try ,the ref had a decent game .

Getting really bored of the fans getting on the refs back every 2 minutes, the refs call it as they see it. The players arn't angels.

I watched it on Premier Sports. First 20 minutes everything went Leigh's way (including a couple of dubious calls). Then he evened up until half-time with even more dubious calls (the first Sheffield Try being the most obvious one). Second half he kept his whistle in his pocket which is good to see. Overall, it was far from the worst refereeing display I've seen.

Widnes will be glad to get away from Leigh. They've been regularly pumped, roasted and left in the alley-way by the lobbygobblers. Talk about being bitched - what a torrid time they've had. They'll be looking for some A&E rest time for the next three years at least.

Sorry to bore you JTL but my opinion on the ref remains the same. You won't find me complaining about refs much if at all if you check back over the years, BUT I think on this occasion the ref was very inconsistent in the first half leading to both teams getting frustrated at one time or another, and a stop/start flow that frustrated the hell out of me as a viewer.
You will also see that I suggested at half time that our players needed to play in such a way as to take him out of the game (and they did) because I do realise that players are no angels, and that clean, smart play has the best chance of reducing penalties against our team no matter how good or bad the ref is.
I also agree that the refs call it as they see it, but that doesn't mean that some (not all) aren't bad at what they do.
I watch every game on DVD (thanks Fred) but it will never beat being behind the sticks.

Fred youve been watching the Game for enough years ,Refs always "Say what they see ",i dont think any Ref is biased ,i may not agree with their interpretation of the Game or rules , but it is their opinion , maybe not always right , but they do their best , MrStokes let a few high tackles go unpunished , but it happens ,i dont castigate any Refs they are trying to do their job , im sure Warren Turley andd Joe Cobb , would agree .
