Yes maybe although for what it is I have sent off a long email to the CEO with my own view on the situation.
Honestly never knew any of this....I reckon me and him would have got on like a house on fire :D
Yes you would. We had no experience at all, all we were asked was to bring our passion and enthusiasm for the club to the table and we certainly did.

Current strapline would be " See the Dross, Feel the Misery" they can have that one for free :DEPRESSED:

Has anyone ever considered that the "review" never really existed? Ask yourself this, by hearing the club say it will be launching a review, did that make you feel that something was being done? Exactly. If there was a review then all that came from it was the sacking of two members of staff who's jobs were nigh on impossible given the lack of funds at the club. If there WAS a review, do you not think we would have heard something by now? If there WAS a review then do you not think that we would have seen something change on or off the pitch? I know we all live in hope that something might have been done to halt the collapse of the club but I think it is time to be realistic. There never WAS a review and NOTHING will change this year. Yet another tranisition season only I fear by the time next year comes around, crowds will dip below 1000 and the future will be very bleak.

Im trying to remain optimistic and that we have the next coach lined up and Towel is just biding time until the axe falls come end of contract time as DH wants to let him go with a clean cv. The ultra optimistic in me thinks maybe the new coach could even be pulling the strings with Bailey and setting things up for next season.
Not sure i like the alternatives.

I find it implausible that the club has not concluded the review given that it was announced to us over three games ago and I am sure things had started already given the departure of two staff plus signing of Bailey which happened shortly after it.

If you look at, we can safely assume that Hughes and Mackay are not reviewing themselves. That leaves only a handful of people in the frame. Powell, Tawhai and Howell, perhaps Massara and Phil Jones also, the strength and conditioning guy Paul Watson, the two physiotherapists plus the back office staff. Then there are the players but obviously only about 5 players are out of contract so there is not much mileage there. So not many people to deal with really. This wouldn't take long.

I reckon Powell has been promised a new role in the set up, this will be something that sounds important maybe something like Sporting Director of Youth Development, keeping him on the payroll.

It wouldn't surprise me if the secretive nature of the people involved ensures that this bad news is hidden from supporters.

They are probably praying for a win and then will announce the news I think.

so no news until 2013 then

The club don't care what the supporters think.....under David Hughes they have never cared. He rules the club with an Iron fist and he is 100% entitled to, but the failure to address problems both on and ofgf the park mean that when he goes......and he will do eventually, there will be no interested parties to take his place.
Sub 2k gate v Widnes IMO....

was watching an nfl doco. on one of their teams and they used the term bomb to describe those long high passes from quaterback to running back and i think gibson took that idea, realized you cant throw the ball forward in RL and adapted it to a "bomb" kick we have

I think David Hughes does care a hell of a lot which makes it all the more difficult to understand why he hasn't replaced Powell. Appointing Powell was always a huge risk and a major weakness in the master plan to build a competitive squad, rebrand and grow the crowds. It should have been obvious last season that a more experienced coach was needed and we should never have got into the position where this season was a write off. I really can't see what can be done other than sack the coach. The players may be underperforming but it is harder to replace them and and the end of the day it is the coach's job to get the most out of them. The Rob Powell experiment is killing the club and I really don't understand why David Hughes cannot see that.

Not sure anyone can understand or even defend why the review is taking so long! only answer still no one to take over but would it not be better putting someone like Gower in charge, unless he has said no, just temporary?

With Powell being appointed against the advice of the RFL and now this seeming non-review, David Hughes seems to be demonstrating the bloody-minded 'I know better than anyone else' attitude that so blighted the club when Roy 'if I don't get my own way I'm shutting it down' Close was owner. The move back to Crystal Palace which nearly finished us off was also against RFL advice!
