Yes he should go now, same drivel in the Examiner today, fact is that Widnes were almost as poor as the previous week against Wire yet deserved to beat us. 16 points down in eleven minutes all down to a stupidly light run on pack and a stupidly confusing merry-go-round of positions in the backs.

Gilly as run on prop with Doof, Larne and Mason on the bench - ridiculous

Backs in confusion as only the halves and Jerry were in their normal positions.

Check the run on team, seven of 13 playing out of position (in each others positions). Two injuries lead to seven changes, what happened to strength in depth.

As for the crap in the paper about Fairbank being back, same for Wardle a couple of weeks ago against Wigan and several others over the last couple of years, whoever is in the Examiner saying how fired up and excited they are then doesn't play. That is frankly insulting to us as supporters, but sums up the problem. Nathan Brown is clearly a very good coach in terms of improving player's skills, sadly he clearly gets too complicated trying to stay one step ahead and yet again we have players who know they are good, but look confused.

Who is responsible for ensuring the players are confident and know how to react to game situations? I would say the coach

Nathan has done a lot of good to improve and develop several players, but what we need now is a single minded leader (such as Tony Smith, Michael MacGuire or dare I say it Shaun Wane), that is not what Nathan is, so time to go with thanks for the good things he has done.

Never been 100% committed to the Giants, season after season we have had the will he won't he saga waiting for a job in Oz, they realised he ain't good enough, so no job ever materialised. Saints came in and he was off like a shot. He done ok for us but nowt spectacular, still an empty trophy cabinet which is what he should be judged on. Get rid IMO. Get Baloo in now and some fire, passion, desire and pride in the famous jersey back into the squad. get em off twitter and in the George hotel to see proper Fartown greats who gave everything for the C&G. Last 4 weeks have been shocking and happened season after season so not a knee jerk reaction.

Go Nathan go. Time is up really - thanks for the memories.

He is over complicating our systems. Why not play players in their preferred positions? Sometimes his ego to make a difference is not positive. There is some Chinese warlord proverb about the best generals go unnoticed because the troops just do what is expect of them - and they win. Undramatic, simple and as expected.
Run leroy , run !.... And he did - twice - and we partied hard...

Yes i think so, but not because he's leaving at the end of the season or just the bare fact of losing the last 4 games.
We've seen coaches announcing they are leaving clubs before with no apparent effect (eg Anderson at Saints, McGuire at Wigan) so have no problem with that - and it was the club that made the decision remember.
As for the losses, in both the last 2 we got into a winning position near the end but then shot ourselves in the foot - and yes I know we didn't play well.
My issue is the same that Jon Sharp was critiscised for - bizarre team selections and players playing in unfamiliar positions. This is something that I noticed last year but has now got worse. One player missing leads to 4/5 changes which given the size of the squad and the strength in depth is a joke.
Kev Brown missing at Widnes - we were told at the start of the season Cording was training with Brown and has been talked up as a ball player - surely a direct replacement and a one for one? No, lets change all the backs round which led to taking time to settle, which led to 16 pts in 12 mins! Defence is a problem so I expected a tackling machine called Fairbank back on Sunday - no again! If he wasn't full fit why was he in the squad?
It's decisions like these, plus I get the impression NB is a bit stubborn (apologies if wrong - I don't know him) so don't see him changing that make me think we should make the change now.
Baloo took over with Purtill from Sharp and made immediate changes to put players back where they belonged an we played some great rugby as well. I also have a feeling he will be a bit like Wane at Wigan, who quite obviously gets his team revved up and take it to the opposition.
Lets get back to 4 props (or minimum of 3), and a 6 and 13 who play as that - KB hasn't played as 6 or 13 for last 2 years, he plays in a 20 metre strip down left side (obviously playing to orders).
Maybe Betts has told him he'll be 6 at Widnes playing from centre field and getting hands on the ball every other play, which will put him back in contention for England?
Defence has gone lately, especially right side - why not put Murphy in at right centre to stiffen it up? Been impressed with him on his limited opportunities.

His usual platitutudes in the examiner.

Suggesting some players are not playing well ( what really ? )
Distinct lack of self responsibility or personal ownership from him. ( or even explaining why so many players were played out of position. )

I wonder what the players made of his comments......?

time for the tinkerman to go. A good coach but

1Has disrupted the side every year with the will he/won't he/ he is leaving debate.
2 Has a ridiculous obsession with playing people out of position.

3 prefers Moore to Lunt.

nathan has to go im afraid players are getting frustrated and divisions in the team are starting to open e.g. keving brown v LOD not getting on with each other at all.

the back line at widnes was just a joke i cannot understand the reasoning of that what so ever. should let baloo take over now and start to implement his stuff we could allready be looking at next season with the way the team looks like its imploded and if we are not carefull more players will look to leave so this needs sorting asap
