1- 16 current NRL teams.

2015 - 17 and 18 W.A.R and Bombers

2017 - 19 and 20 West Brisbane and Wellington

2021 - 21 and 22 Sunny Coast and Islanders

Now for a Lower league comp (around 2025) with a proper deal.

Auckland 2
Christchurch
Gosford
The Entrance
Melbourne 2
Newtown
Perth 2
Illawarra
Wynnum
Redcliffe
Port Morseby
Lae

While the goal is to have limited rounds in both the NRL and and the other divison and eventually a possible promotion/relegation battle

The other part of this goal is the internationals i.e I'd have the 20's Roos and Junior Kiwis go and play the US, Canada and Jamaica.
Another one is Aborigines, Maoris, PNG, Samoa, Tonga, Fiji, Cook Is - Pac Cup every year

In an ideal world I'd say
2015 WA Reds and Brisbane2 (whichever bid is strongest)
2017 Wellington
2019 Adelaide
2025 PNG

3 Sydney clubs to drop to NSW cup and one to relocate to Gosford!

Interestingly, thoughts have turned to moving the youngsters (U20s) to play Wednesday nights and the reserve grade games to be the curtain raisers in NSW. Bloody right en all.

There is an outside chance that clubs will all put in their own reserve grade sides again, which would mean that clubs who are acting as feeders will no longer have a team in that grade. Wests, Norths, Newtown. ie. Foundation clubs. Though I'm not sure they could afford to do that as clubs are light in the pocket at the mo.

The whole reason they got rid of reserve grade was cost. Clubs couldn't afford it and the league didn't want to pay national travel costs for another squad.I don;t see much changing.

I'd keep it the same as it is but shorten the cup comps and have an end of year NSWvQ'land cup competition

Hold on a mo JB. The clubs never got rid of reserve grade. The reason they cut costs is because of the over hyped U20s comp. Clubs now realise that it ain't that good and are wanting to move it to a wednesday night so their not top 18 that week squad players can play against the grown ups. Which is why people like George Burgess plays NSW Cup and not U20s, same with a few others.

Out of interest, do you know who pays for WA to play in S G Ball when they travel?

was watching an nfl doco. on one of their teams and they used the term bomb to describe those long high passes from quaterback to running back and i think gibson took that idea, realized you cant throw the ball forward in RL and adapted it to a "bomb" kick we have

My memory was that the clubs voted to get rid of reserve grade due to costs. Their is nothing stopping them having one now but most partner with rich league clubs to help with costs.

Re Reds SG Ball it's pair for partly by Arlc and partly by sponsorship (mostly cash convertors)
