Re Crosby, he needs to earn a new contract the same as everyone else. When he has played this year he has been fine, last year I am not counting for obvious reasons.

Has Crosby picked up that many injuries since he started playing games at Wire?
2 for sure perhaps 3?
I don't think that's anymore than most.

I'm 100% with Wires71.

Here's the games played this season & last season. I think he has been injured more than most.

Hill - 16 & 25
Cooper - 14 & 26
BMM - 13 & 28
Westwood - 12 & 16
Philbin - 15 & 22
Sita - 12 & -
G King - 8 & 19
Crosby - 7 & 7

Whether it's one injury occurring twice, or two different injuries is moot.

The pitch time he's been available for vs time on the treatment table is what's important. As Wires71 says - he has managed to play 7 games this season, and also 7 last season (with of course consideration to his personal circumstances last year).

I like Crosby when he's played, and I'm most certainly not advocating throwing him on the scrap heap.

But when Wires71 says

We need to carefully consider the extension for Crosby. Although he looks a decent player his injury record is poor.

I don't think there's much arguing with it.

He's managed 7 games in 14...? Whats this bollox?
3 weeks ago saw the birth of his child. I'm no nurse but I would think his family were also at a heightened risk and his ommission before the birth was warranted. You could argue a case for any family man in that situation being granted leave...it at least gives him good reason for missing half a dozen games without injury.
Give Crosby a break. The last thing he needs it's this sort of seeding, he ought to be given time and we are very comfortable in roster without him.

I thought Cooper was one of our better players last season, granted that isn’t saying much.

Player of the season so far this year though, just edging Clarke who is also playing very well.

Very surprised not to see Cooper back in the England squad.
