Briers and Monaghan ? : Mon Apr 13, 2009 9:56 pm  

Don't know if this has been discuused elsewhere,has anyone else noticed that since the Harlequins game,Briers and Monaghan haven't been on the pitch at the same time together.

Even when Briers was dropped to the bench for HKR game,as soon as he came on,Monaghan went off injured.

It'll be interesting if they do/don't play on Friday,given all the rumours about their training ground scrap.

there are rumours (how strong is questionable) that briers is liked with halifax, can you believethat?

if Briers to fax move true what des that say about briers ability. If the rumour were Briers to Rhinos or Bulls that should alert us to what we might miss. We had a player called Gaskell ....Chemics now...we had a player Noone....Barrow now - maybe reasonable clubs but lower leagues and not in demand.

Maybe a reason for your lofty SL position is that you got rid of these more honest type players and replaced them with mega stars that are doing so well on the field at the moment. Obviously might not be but just a thought?

I know that Briers is the 'bag egg' at the club

However for me it is important that he doesn't leave. Today and on Friday you notice just how much you miss him when he isn't there. Without him there is no attacking organisation or creativity and the kicking game is non existant, they may aswell just pass the ball to the man nearest them and tackle them.

Monaghan is clueless as a halfback, he is a hooker and if you are going to play him then play him at 9.

Briers is going to have to leave in the next few years due to his age (let alone his skill or will), so as we seem to be in a "tranistional" year, leaving now may be no bad thing in the long run

I note how the Briers haters have gone silent recently. monas is NOT a half back (I know he has played there in Aus before but. He is NOT NOT a scrum half) and we are clueless again without LB.

How we beat Featherstone in the cup is beyond me, and Lee Wasnt even born then!
