We’ve run into sticky situations not having a back/utility on the bench in the past and last night it could have been a major problem when Austin went off. Good win but that was a big tactical error, especially against a team that plays to win by injuring their opposition.

Watching the game back, it's clear that Jack Hughes has made huge strides the last twelve months, not just in his general play but in his leadership qualities.

He now looks the kind of strong, vocal, dependable leader all teams need. I'm not going to reopen the Chris Hill debate, but even when Hill is on the field, Jack looks like a player and character his teammates admire and respond to.

He's loving it at Wire. He got some real shatty stick from Wigan fans. ..he got some really shatty stick on here too...I never waned. He was doing all the dirty work in a poor team and he was ever present and out of position to suit TS. That's my opinion. We'll just shake on that one...either way...he's my fist choice forward.
