How much better is the coverage/media side of the NRL compared to SL?

There promo for the coming season was outstanding, I've also been watching a few "mini series" that clubs produce individually - in particular "This Day Forward" by the West Tigers last year gave a real good insight into pre season at a professional club.

Night and day but that's what happens when the sport is treated as a major sport. The budgets are higher and Nine and Fox have no problem spending money to produce a great tv product.

Sky's coverage of SL while commendable is stale. They have used the same intro graphics and music now for years. It's outrageous that nothing has changed for so long.

Sky do the bare minimum but then they would probably argue the audience the sport generates means they cant justify a higher budget for Super League.

When did they start those funny grey animated players in the intro?

Sky put all their efforts into the Premier League and when they launched Formula 1 channel. You could even argue that F1 is their premier sport.

Everything else, even rugby union, got sidelined and taken up by other networks.

Now we’re just one of the minor sports underneath their two tier 1 sports the Prem and F1. Which is why we lost Boots’N’All, backchat and the old hour long highlights show.

On Saturday they couldn’t even be bothered putting the Catalans v Wire game on by kick off. Do you think they’d ever miss the kick off of a Prem game or a starting grid of an F1 race?

The BBC still can’t be bothered to put the SL Show on across the nation or in HD on its first airing of the week, and when they do it’s on in the middle of the day. Why can’t they put it on national BBC2HD at 19:00, for example?

Shame they pulled the plug on the The Footy Show , that was a fantastic programme .

Even Premier sports pulled the plug on that Aussie Sh1te.
