I remember poking fun at the L&L at the time but in fairness they were the most committed fans we had. They just weren't stupid. Appreciate this was well before your time following the club though.

This time round there were a few dozen more people in and I couldn't see anything. I sat in the stand at the end of the pitch for a few minutes but it's positioned so far back that you can't see a thing. And what's with this farcical glass deposit scheme? I'm lumbered with a plastic Broncos glass now after storming out with it in my hand after 60 minutes. Expensive pint that was.

I genuinely can't see us winning a game all season.

Nor could I until we beat Wakey! I think that's probably it for the year though.

JESUS WEPT :WALL: HOW MANY TIMES?????
£20 a ticket and £15 on beer and merchandise.....so an away fan is worth £35. At best, 1,000 is the average away support split across 11 rounds and I am being really generous here, so Toronto, replacing say Wakefield will cost a SL club £35,000.
The minimum turnover of a SL club is £4,000,000 so Toronto instead of Widnes is worth less than 1% of a SL clubs turnover.

There are many valid reasons for and against expansion into America, but "AWAY FANS" isn't one of them. :BEAT:

Loyalty is an earned respect....the club have NEVER treated the fans with respect, specifically under its current ownership model. I actually plan trips back to the UK with the intention of taking in a home game if at all possible and if I were still living in west London would in ll probability rock up for every home game, but I wouldn't buy a season ticket, because the club don't deserve that level of Loyalty.
As for

Dog, who said it was a marketing plan? Mere statement of facts, All the other SL clubs have a decent away following, let’s encourage them to come down. Contrary to some home fans, a lot of the cas fans I spoke to on sat quite liked the set up at Trailfinders, ta far from ideal but it’s what we have.

...don't make me laugh.
Wigan could quite possibly outnumber the home fans, Saints as well........and when we get an announced 3k gate, people will fawn over this brave new world, despite the fact when Catalans or Salford come calling, we'll be lucky to break 1,500......and as for away fans "liking" the ground.......f-k'em......they're not supposed to like it....the post following yours from a cas fan saying there wasn't a hassle getting a drink sums it up perfectly......they like it because there's no queues for anything.......until maybe Wigan and St Helens

You really could start a debate in an empty room you norvun monkey :SUBMISSION:

Nice dog, reverting to type we see, there is no need to use foul language.
Why not welcome and encourage away fans?
Why are they not supposed to like it? They are more likely to come back-if they enjoy the experience.
I am a fan, you allegedly are a fan, the ownership model me, you or anyone else can’t change it, so stop constantly whinging about it and support the team.
Loyalty and respect 2 totally different things.
Brave new dawn, fawning over a 3 k gate, who? Who are these people you mention?
Yr version of loyalty and season ticket! Well that would just be stupidity you do understand the idea behind a season ticket, it’s nothing to do with loyalty it’s about saving money over the season.
And debate in an empty room! It’s the whole point of a forum! Or has that passed you by.

First time I encountered the plastic glass thing was on a visit to Catalans, I think it's pretty common at cricket grounds - but that's more to do with stopping my mate Charlie from building those 'snakes' from disposable pint pots!
As for a win, there's always the Cup! and I live in hope we'll catch another team on a bad day - like Wakey!
