Salford v Leeds. Do we travel with any optimism against the early league leaders? Surely we have to get a notch in the win column this week, before we travel to Saints. These 4 successive away games will prove a real disadvantage as the season progresses. We will be in catch up mode throughout the season. Who requested such a bright idea?
No I don't think we will win. And the cynic in me wonders if the powers that be knew we wanted to have our first 3 fixtures away from home (Salford is a later round due to early CC entry) and decided to stick a big 2 fingers up to GH with arguably the 3 hardest away fixtures we could have.
Meh.

Does it really matter? We have to play all three away anyway. We should have won Friday so only ourselves to blame there.
I think we will win this week, and wouldn’t surprise me to beat Saints the week after.
Don't think we came any where near beating Wigan on Friday. Our halves are too slow and we haven't got a plan for final play of each set. Hastings will be rubbing his hands with glee at the thought of ripping into our play makers.

I think having 3 of the most difficult fixtures away from home at the start will benefit us. When was the last time we won all 3 of those fixtures away in the same season? Its giving the new squad and coach a chance to see where we are at build some combinations and then hopefully seat to click when we start with out home fixtures. Would like to see us beat Salford but I don't think even with a 0 from 4 in the first four will ultimately determine our season.
I think we'll beat Salford & i think the Wigan score flattered them. Salford may be top on 2 wins but beating an under strength ordinary Giants & Newly promoted London is hardly form to fear.

At the moment I'd back any well-drilled side to beat us unless we show further improvement. I couldn't say whether salford fits that bill, not having seen them. Our defence hasn't been all it should be and our spine of 1, 6, 7 & 9 hasn't clicked well enough. When those work better, we start winning. Think we'll lose narrowly to salford but maybe beat saints.
"The problem when you play Leeds is that they are a huge 'confidence' side. If you get on top of them, they will cower and go away, but when they get in front their chests puff out and they start whooping as they make tackles. " (Jon Wilkin)
