If Widnes folds we can safely say the game should be read the last rites. There will be only 5 viable professional clubs soon.

It pains me to say but I'd much rather Widnes stayed up (great previous points about our attendance v the chemics)- we would really miss them. At this moment in time, i'd love it more than anything if stains got relegated, but, after a few years I think I'd want them back competing again. A rivalry is meaningless without a competing other half.
