Dragons Stun The Saints To Make The Wembley Final

The Challenge Cup semi-final at the University of Bolton Stadium got underway with the cup favourites St Helens against an ever improving underdog, the Catalans Dragons.

Both sides looked strong on paper as the two sides took a week off at the end of the regular Super League season, both having qualified for the Super Eights, albeit at opposite ends of the top flight table.

But this was the cup, a one off game, and anything could happen with a large neutral support in the form of Leeds and Warrington fans cheering on the Dragons.

Alongside the other "anyone noticed" thread it's kind of quiet about the Catalans victory over Saints (other than the usual painful posters). I thought that Catalans had a great game plan and executed it magnificently.

Regarding Leeds in the other semi, all the Championship clubs must be rubbing their hands at their paper thin defence for the 8's!

Sparky

I think they will be a different beast in the 8's

Good luck to Fax though - should be a good comp.

Maybe they will, but their attitude especially when they needed to chase back after their line was broken was woeful. Leeds might just have enough class to escape, but if they end up in the MPG then I don't think they have the will to win that one.

Fax are rank outsiders for the M8's, but might just surprise a couple and who knows...

We thought the exact same in the Q.F. we were flying, they were on their backsides and look how that turned out - our biggest hammering of the season.

I agree, Fax will shake a few up, especially at the shay

Think we will be meeting up again next season though
