Speaketh for itself. I'm sure Sir Ralph will be patting himself on the back.

Toronto Wolfpack have been breaking attendance records throughout their Championship and League 1 campaigns, with almost every club that hosts The Wolfpack getting their seasons highest attendance figure.

Catalans Challenge Cup Semi Final has sold out.

I think that just shows:
- Leeds have been awful and with restricted capacity; and
- Wigan play mind numbing rugby that people don’t want to pay to watch; and
- Salford are a basket case club and any team that replaces them will drag averages up.

Not much else to see there and I imagine all of the above will be fixed by new coaches at Wigan and Leeds (and new South Stand at Leeds) and Salford’s seemingly inevitable march towards the championship or worse.

Not too much to panic about there.

I know you’re a WUM but may as well respond... They are hardly dwindling!

Leeds are rebuilding their ground and will have better attendances than they had before the rebuild once its done.

Hull Wire Saints Cas Wakey Catalans HullKR and Hudds all have pretty steady figures there and have done for a number of years going back further than that table.

So the whole basis of your thread talking about our sport as a whole is really just about Wigan. Why couldn’t you have named this “Wigan’s Dwindling Crowds”? And they are hardly dwindling themselves. 2000 lost, a good new coach, a few good new players and good marketing and they could attract 3000 more to their average.

What any of that has got to do with Rimmer I have no idea. Are you Nigel Wood by any chance? Why the bitterness towards Rimmer? He’s got the square root of love all to do with Wigan’s marketing department.

And whoever made the point that Catalans half of the CC semi game has sold out, do you really think 12500 Perpignanais have made the trip over do you? Haha

Stupid thread!

Pretty much this, there is always a percentage of fickle fans who don't turn up when a team is losing, less entertaining or have weak teams with injuries. Wigan, Leeds and perhaps Hull seem to be very much in this category.

Also the Thursday night scheduling over the last couple of years has some effect, I would imagine taking in all those factors there isn't a lot of change overall to show any dramatic decline. There is also a question Mark on the Toronto attendances, is some of it propaganda to reinforce the case for a super league placement.

As has been said, some are awful but pretty much as you'd expect. Others are OK.
Wigan is the only one whose speed and direction of travel make you sit up and think, "what's wrong with that club"? Bad management or just awful to watch? I expect a bit of both but no wonder Lenagan is desperate to get his hands on more of the TV money.
