If it goes through, a huge step in the right direction. I reckon the Denver test has given them a kick up the posterior

That sounds great and, crucially, please please please make it a regular date in the calendar every 4 years to tie in with the World Cup cycle

All sounds great but, not sure about the appeal of 9's, something that we dont usually play over here. Although, it would possibly mean that the sides would be more competitive .
Once again, it will come down to some decent marketing.

The full tour would be something huge though. Those who can remember the good old days, look back on these games with very fond memories.

A new Oceania Cup in 2019 featuring round robin matches between New Zealand, Fiji, Samoa and Tonga to be played during June and October.
A Four Nations tournament held in the Southern Hemisphere in 2020 featuring Australia, New Zealand, Tonga and Samoa.
Four Nations tournament held in the Northern Hemisphere in 2020 featuring England, France, PNG and Fiji.

It’s great more tests are planned for Tonga, Samoa, PNG and Fiji, but why are we playing in the Four Nations B League?

I wish everyone would read bramleyrhino's post two or three times just to get it through some thick skulls

Mr bramleyrhino speaks a lot of sense.

Nines is something to really be tapped into in my view. It puts much more of a focus on our speed and flair players, rather than the 'biff and barge' aspect of the game that is never going to appeal to certain audiences, and it creates an event that I think could really appeal to new audiences.

GB v Australia tours are certainly welcome.

In fairness, given that the Australians seem to be a lot bigger on player welfare than we are, you can't blame them for thinking that tgames against England offer them little reward for their efforts when we have rarely looked even close to competing with them.

Haven't we lost something like 13 on the bounce against them - and I dread to think what the aggregate score is.

JESUS WEPT :WALL: HOW MANY TIMES?????
£20 a ticket and £15 on beer and merchandise.....so an away fan is worth £35. At best, 1,000 is the average away support split across 11 rounds and I am being really generous here, so Toronto, replacing say Wakefield will cost a SL club £35,000.
The minimum turnover of a SL club is £4,000,000 so Toronto instead of Widnes is worth less than 1% of a SL clubs turnover.

There are many valid reasons for and against expansion into America, but "AWAY FANS" isn't one of them. :BEAT:

12-26 is the aggregate score over 16 games with 2 wins and a draw all England have to show...

Surely more than 38 points have been scored in 16 games?

I think he has taken the total points scored in the 16 games by England (188) and Australia(405) and divided each by 16 to give an aggregate match score, which rounded out is 12-26 according to him(12-25 by me).
