Both have signed two year contracts.
Glad we have got them on board -learnt from previous mistakes and done so before other clubs are allowed to come sniffing.

Brilliant news. Not just players, they have been fans their whole life. Exactly what we need, young homegrown players who want to play for this club.

yeh good news... if they didnt play though then they wouldnt have got a deal maybe so soon?

money has to come from somewhere , prob lose likes of simpson who also got his opportunity of a contract when the injuries hit

will have to wait and see if the seniors can do better than simpson.

club might be abit scared to lose some of its youngsters now with whats happened with jake connor and paying over the odds

I doubt that’s the case with these. Any homegrown players command a fee if they move on elsewhere until after the age of 21. That’s why what hull did was sneaky as they signed connor but didn’t “officially” sign him until his 22nd birthday so they didn’t have to pay us! If his birthday had been in March they wouldn’t have got away with it!

apparently ollie russell has signed pro terms for next season

we are losing youngsters though to the likes of warrignton and leeds, warrington just bought a youngster for 10k and we were in for him but cant compete with wages etc

They might have signed one player but I wouldn't really say thats the case in general, Brearley. Our academy side is now one of the best, much better than Warringtons at present. We might have also lost the King brothers to them previously but I dont rate either of them.

this was for next season, we have lost them to other teams, robbo tried to keep them but we cant compete with likes of warrington with their money they offer youngsters

Are you talking about young kids from clubs who are signing academy contracts? or our academy players signing contracts elsewhere?

David gibbons is who he’s taking about he’s 16 and hull kr offered him more money than us and Warrington put together, still signed Sean slater( half back) aiden Mcgowan ( utility ) robson Stevens prop, Kobe Poching loose Alicia Schultz prop, Lewis Laing back row, Oliver Peterkin centre Rhys grenall wing james Johnson back row
