Difficult to stay in touch in Melbourne
Have I missed something ?
Hudge is making it clear by hinting Rovers can plan ahead with confidence and financial stability from 2019 as long as they're still in SL
Does this mean a drawbridge again and Franchises ?
if Rovers go down are they out for years ? and vice versa ?

I dont get all
the news here and wondered if ive missed an annoucement a while ago ?

Hudge 'in code' seems to be asking the fans to bear with the team and just stay in SL this year and it will all come good.
That leads me to believe we are looking at a 'closed' shop again etc
I just wondered if I'd missed something. Is there a date for an announcement ?

While I agree that the 8's haven't delivered, i'd add Leigh to the list of teams that have benefited they've had the thrill of a promotion year, a year in SL itself giving the fans top class rugby for the first time in a decade and I believe their crowds now are higher than before the promotion season.

I'd like to see promotion and relegation stay, as many clubs including our own got lazy during the franchise era. But i'd like to see the Championship grow to be more of a Superleague2 where relegation is seen as a disappointment teams can bounce back from not a complete crisis.

leigh would have replaced huddersfield in 2016 if it were normal p&r, would also have kept their place in SL too

cant see the championship getting close to the lower end SL standard atm due to lack of income they get

We need more SKY $$$
Hence the Hearn scenario ???
We need a well funded Championship at minimum so they can come up to
SL and be competitive etc
2 x 12 team leagues with normal playoffs not the madness we have now
Too many games in my opinion
Players playing with knocks all the time etc

People slagged off Hearn and yet he got the biggest fight of 2017 on between Klitschko and Joshua amongst many others, he's a big player and yet he's scorned simply because of who he and his dad is, again Hearn snr has expanded snooker and brought a shed load more money to the sport since he took over.
