I think the same regards Ben,I hope we are going to see the real flower from now on,as for the prop department we are on the light side a couple of injuries and things could get sticky,plus if Sutton does go to the NRL for at least a year Wane will have to find a replacement

Is our long-term 13 not more likely to be Morgan Smithies rather John Bateman? Smithies is 18 later this year and should be pushing for a debut next year at the latest.

A young untested 18 year old with no big game experience who’s future is a million miles off decided, or an outstanding England international chased by NRL clubs who’s already a stand out in SL?

I’ll let you think about that one.

Thank you for your kind words. I'm very well thank you, and hope you are too.... My word it's been a few years since we bumped into each other, i think it was at the stoop! I was up in Scotland all week, missionary work don't you know My favourite week of my work cycle, but it's a hell of a lot of driving.

I think that age has made me a little more phlegmatic than i once was, and not quite as quick to judge/condemn... Social media gives all of us a chance to vent our feeling immediately, without necessarily considering all factors involved... I well recall one notoriously critical poster, was furious that Wigan were going to employ a "Rookie coach" before any of us had heard of him... I thought, though a little taciturn for my tastes, Madge did rather well...

Long and short of it, we are no longer in the 1980's, the need to cap the salaries, because primarily of the low monies coming in from TV and elsewhere, and the massive amounts of dosh available down-under, has made selecting of players and squads much more difficult. To my mind, this has been a detriment to the game as a whole, and i can understand fans frustrations when we have players that they feel are not "Wigan standard"... Yes, that is frustrating, but thats the same for all now, thus lowering the overall "skill set" standard. My concern is not just for Wigan, but for the professional game as a whole. the marketing is just appalling, and all clubs need to take responsibility for that.... And as for the administrators of the game? I find them less than useless, they really need to take a good look at themselves and decide if they are really the right people for the job.... Most likely, they will stay on their little cushy number till pushed, or they fall off the perch.
